The skies over the Pudong New Area of Shanghai - home of the World Expo - lit up in a display of pyrotechnic brilliance last night. If the trial run is anything to go by, Friday night's fireworks to usher in the long-anticipated opening of the six-month Expo will go off with a bang ... well, many bangs. And the Shanghai Meteorological Bureau said yesterday we can expect slightly cloudy, fine and warm weather on Friday and Saturday, just the ticket for a wow-factor World Expo.
